Message from Sgt. Peterson

There have been a bunch of auto break-in problems up around the Odenton, Gambrills, Chapel Gate area over the past few weeks. The perpetrators have been targeting vehicles that have removable GPS systems, such as Garmins, Magellans, etc., and are taking those units only. He feels that it's bound to move to Crofton shortly. He just wants to remind everyone to make sure anything of value is not in plain sight if the vehicle is not parked in the garage overnight.

There have been additional break-ins in the community recently, as well as at a nearby neighborhood school, some of which have occurred durring the daytime.
